Stock replacement GM Slave Cylinder & Throwout Bearing for 1997-04 Corvette C5 & Z06, LS1 or LS6 Engine, Part #24264180. If you're removing the transmission for any reason, make sure you replace the slave cylinder while you've got everything apart. The weak link in the factory hydraulic setup is the master cylinder, so there is no need to upgrade your slave - just keep it fresh. Now is a great time to upgrade to our Tick Performance Remote SPEEDbleeder Line, as well!  Former part number is 89059282.

This slave cylinder includes the throwout / release bearing and is GM quality - don't trust an aftermarket slave cylinder!

Option Guide: Do I need a Remote SPEED Bleeder Line?
No, the Remote SPEED Bleeder Line is not required for proper install and function, but it is certainly convenient! Our Tick Performance Remote Clutch SPEED Bleeder Line makes bleeding your hydraulic system a "One Man Job" and stays installed on the car so you can quickly, easily bleed your hydraulic system as often as necessary. This line requires transmission removal to install, so installing when you're installing the Slave Cylinder is your best bet! Available either simply included in your package or installed on your slave cylinder prior to shipping.

Option Guide: Do I need a Slave Cylinder Shim Kit (3 Pack)?
When replacing any clutch or slave cylinder in any newer GM performance application, proper geometry is key to a high-functioning, quick shifting setup. You absolutely should measure to see if a shim is necessary - every single time! Having this Clutch Slave Cylinder Shim Kit on hand during your install will make sure you aren't held up if during your measurement, you do find that a shim is necessary. You can see read all the details about shim measurement on the product page, here.

Option Guide: Do I need a GM Quick Disconnect Tool?
A special tool is NOT necessary in order to remove & reinstall the GM Quick Disconnect Fitting that mates your hydraulic clutch line to your slave cylinder, but it does make the task a bit easier (and reduces the risk of damage) versus using a screwdriver or universal tool.  The GM Quick Disconnect Tool that we offer is specifically designed for use with the GM Quick Disconnect Fitting.

    Problems solved!!

Had previously installed a budget clutch kit in my ls swapped car and eventually started having issues shifting at high rpm. Swapped in this throw out hydraulic slave and found that my previous bearing was not letting the clutch release fully. This has corrected a few issues I was seeing due to that. Awesome

    worth every cent!

I thought the OEM design to bleed the clutch was pretty stupid, when I rebuilt my transmission 2003 Z06 I heard about the TICK performance remote bleed system and I was sold. It's installed, took me maybe 5 minutes to bleed my clutch and it feels better then ever.I highly recommend this product to anyone !!
