Product Description

If you're removing the transmission for any reason, make sure you replace the slave cylinder while you've got everything apart. The weak link in the factory hydraulic setup is the master cylinder, so there is no need to upgrade your slave - just keep it fresh. Now is a great time to upgrade to our Tick Performance Remote SPEEDbleeder Line, as well!  Former GM part number 15046288.

This unit may be used as a cheaper replacement for C5 Corvette and 04-06 Pontiac GTO Slave Cylinders, as well.  Using an F-Body slave in those applications simply requires that you swap the fittings over from your stock slave cylinder onto this F-Body unit.  Aside from the fittings, the cylinders themselves are the same.

This slave cylinder is the best GM revision (01+ style) and comes with throwout bearing.

  3. Don't bother with anything but this genuine GM part

Posted by Rene on 28th Mar 2013

In some cases aftermarket is the way to go. That’s not true for this item; the GM slave for the F-body is the best out there for this application. Tried and true, plus it comes with the throwout bearing included. You might be fooled with someone making a nice shiny slave and then advertise how it’s anodized purple, red, or whatever color you want, but let’s be honest, you’re never going to see it. I myself have tried aftermarket slaves and was met with expensive consequences. The tolerances just are not there when you go aftermarket on this item. It never fully disengaged my clutch, it was enough to shift and me not to notice, but the clutch wear was faster than it should have been. In just three months of daily driving my clutch was shot. So take it from the experts when they say stick to the GM slave, they’ve been down this road a few times

  6. F-Body Slave Cylinder for GTO

Nice inexpensive replacement for 2004 GTO. You just have to switch out the fittings from your old GTO cylinder.

  7. Do it right the first time!

Dont cut corners on this, get the best and do it right the first time. Great combo with the Tick Master.
