Option Guide: Do I need a GM Quick Disconnect Tool?
A special tool is NOT necessary in order to remove & reinstall the GM Quick Disconnect Fitting that mates your hydraulic clutch line to your slave cylinder, but it does make the task a bit easier (and reduces the risk of damage) versus using a screwdriver or universal tool. The GM Quick Disconnect Tool that we offer is specifically designed for use with the GM Quick Disconnect Fitting.
All Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kits are warrantied against leakage for the entire time you own yours! If you develop a leak, simply send the kit back with a copy of your invoice and the cylinder will be replaced or repaired and shipped back to you via Ground free of charge. I did a T-56 swap on my 3.8V6 Firebird and this little gem came in handy. The clutch engagement point along with the hydraulic throwout bearing being spaced to accommodate the adapter plate is changed a little bit.
Using an adjustable clutch Master like this one from Tick made my life a lot easier!
Shifts like a dream, and I recommend it to others.

Bought it. Waited a while to install it because I'm a noob at mechanical stuff, but got some help from some friends who knew what they were doing. It took us about 1-2 hours and MAN IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! Car shifts with no fuss now. Allows you to drive the car like it was meant to b driven.

I had been fighting high rpm shifts for awhile. I had read a ton of positive Tick reviews and finally pulled the trigger on one of these.
I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. The car is a whole different machine. Shifts are super crisp at any rpm and pedal travel is minimal to disengage the clutch.
I love this thing. I can't wait to nip a few tenths off my ET at the track.

First the bad, the instructions aren't very helpful for someone who never installed a master, but youtube and searching forum posts to find pictures of what I needed to do, fixed that. Ok now the good, the product is absolutely awesome, I had a monster stage 2 clutch installed a few months ago, and was experiencing a lot of engagement issues with reverse, 1st and 3rd gears. (I was going to have the transmission rebuilt actually) I also had the sticky clutch issue. But this fixed everything, and my clutch pedal is superb. If you upgrade your clutch, upgrade your master! The car feels and drives as if it was brand new.

The problems I was having with my clutch failing at high RPM is solved with the larger master cylinder. The only problem is that the installation with headers is a lot more complicated and takes longer than the 90 minutes and you really need a rack, but it is well worth the effort. Good job Tick. Be sure and add in your instructions to make sure that the old master cylinder is on the outside of the firewall before you take off the fill hose.

Don't let the price of this thing scare you. It makes the stock master look like a cheap toy.....Install wasn't too bad even though its a bit bigger than the stocker. Pedal feels great, and the car shifts like a dream now!

the title basically says it, if your driving a manual 4th gen you need to do this UPGRADE, not really a mod in my book, quick the difference is night and day! definitely a must do dobt hesistate just do it!
