BRAND NEW FOR 2018: This Tick Performance QUICK Install Remote Clutch SPEED Bleeder Line does not require transmission removal to install! Fits 1998-02 Camaro & Firebird (LS1) and 2004-06 Pontiac GTO (LS1 or LS2.) See video on this page for all the details and install information!

Bleeding the late model GM hydraulic system in it's stock form is a bear. You've got to have someone pump the pedal while you're under the car cracking the bleeder and hoping everybody's timing is right - not to mention keeping the reservoir full! It's easy to see how something so simple can quickly turn into a huge ordeal.

With our "One Man Job" Remote Clutch SPEED Bleeder Line, Tick Performance is taking great strides in making things much easier on you. At 4'+ in length, you're able to route the line to nearly anywhere on the car you want. Here in house, we usually zip tie it to a brake line coming out of the brake master cylinder so it's easy to reach with the hood popped. Another huge improvement is our SPEED Bleeder end - allowing you to simply crack it open one time and close it once the air is out of the system, instead of having to open and close the bleeder with every pump of the pedal.

Why hassle with your hydraulic system every time you want to bleed it?  Rely on Tick Performance to make the job much easier for you with our "One Man Job" Remote Clutch SPEED Bleeder Line!

    Good product with some modification.

Posted by Peter on 21st Dec 2022

This was my install process. I drilled a 2 inch hole directly across from the bleed screw opening. I loosened the factory bleed screw. I used a pipe cleaner and shoved it down the middle hole of the factory bleeder and I unscrewed it using the pipe cleaner. I did it this way so that the factory bleeder didn’t fall into the transmission. This is where I got frustrated with the Tick bleed screw. I got the new bleed screw started on the slave but then it was cross threading, so I took it back out. I screwed the factory bleeder into a m10x1.5 nut and it went on fine, when I tried the tick screw it wouldn’t thread into the nut. So I had to use a die to clean up the threads on the tick bleeder, after I did that, it screwed in fine. The rest of the install was straight forward. I ordered a cap to plug the hole I drilled and put everything back together. Overall, it’s super easy to bleed the clutch and it fixed some of the issue I had. I just don’t like to modify a product that I just purchased. 1999 Trans Am

    Quality product, Difficult to install

Posted by Jay P on 19th Mar 2022

I love the quality of the Tick remote clutch bleeder. The installation is difficult on 4th gen F-bodies. You have less than 2 inches clearance. I work on Firebird race cars for 10 years and this install took me 3 hours. Must be patient. GM bleed fitting is 11mm hex, easy to remove, let it drop out of access hole. Tick fitting is 7/16" hex. It would not start in threads until I removed it and chased coating off the 10mm threads with a die. Then it spun on without cross threading. To tighten fitting, I had to cut down a 1/4" drive deep socket 5/8" to make the turn. Shallow socket is too short, deep socket is too long. Used 1/4" breaker bar, ratchet would not fit. Hose goes on easy, it's plenty long. Not for beginners, be patient.

    QUick install in GTO

Posted by Ben Smith on 22nd Feb 2022

Installing this is doable with the transmission in the car but I might suggest getting an iphone boroscope ($40 online) to enable you to look inside the transmission. Video says uses a 1/2" socket for install but mine needed an 11mm. Space is extremely tight so you might need short and long sockets (preferably thin walled) or even crows feet wrenches.

    Bleed with ease

Love the convenience this provides. Install was just lovely. I cracked the bleeder screw loose and rtv’d the socket on it, allowing it to dry for an hour or so. Backed it out by hand with a magnet attached to it for security. New one went in after poking around for what seemed like forever. Patience is key.
