Installing the Endless Rotation Steering Connector

Prepare the Steering Column
If you're ready to install the Endless Rotation Steering Connector on your tubular steering column, the process is simpler than you might expect—provided you follow the right sequence. First, ensure that your steering column is already installed in the vehicle, with the steering depth properly set. This means the tube should be fully mounted and connected to the steering box or rack, and everything should be securely fastened. Once the column is locked in place, you can begin installing the steering connector.
Install the Female Side Connector
The first step is to attach the female side of the contactor to the back of your quick connect hub. Depending on your hub, you'll use the bottom two bolts—or three bolts if you're working with a six-bolt configuration. It's worth noting that hardware isn’t included with the connector, since bolt patterns vary by hub brand and model. Once the female side is secured to the hub, you're ready to move on to the rotational connector piece.
Attach the Rotational Connector to the Column
This rotating assembly is what allows the connector to function while the wheel turns a full 360 degrees. It includes three set screws that attach to the steering column. Using a 1/8" Allen wrench, you'll tighten these set screws to firmly secure the connector. Inside, gold-plated, spring-loaded contactors ensure a continuous electrical connection regardless of wheel position. This part of the installation is flexible—the wiring exits can be positioned at the top, bottom, or sides of the column, depending on your preference.
Reinstall the Steering Wheel
Next, re-install the steering wheel. As you slide the wheel back on, make sure the male contactor mates properly with the female side you mounted earlier. Sit in the driver’s seat and gently pull the steering wheel toward you to preload the spring-loaded contactors. Focus pressure on the bottom portion of the wheel, where the electrical connection is typically located, and then tighten the set screws to lock everything into place. At this point, your physical installation is complete.
Wire the Connector
Now it’s time to wire the connector. You’ll find four color-coded wires: red, yellow, blue, and black. The three colored wires serve as activation circuits, while the black wire acts as the common. This setup supports four separate circuits, and you can wire the system using either power or ground as your common—though many installers prefer ground. An especially thoughtful design feature is that the connector includes a black common wire on both the steering wheel and hub sides, eliminating the need to loop wires awkwardly. This makes for a much cleaner and more professional installation.
Additional Wiring Information
Keep in mind that each circuit is rated for up to 3 amps, so this system is intended for signal-level activation only—not for directly powering devices like nitrous solenoids or trans brake solenoids. It’s ideal for button-based controls and integrations with advanced ECU systems, offering endless customization potential through three activation inputs.
