TPSS1

The ONE & ONLY Hall Effect Speed Sensor to fit your GM transmission. The TPSS1 is designed as a direct physical replacement for your stock VR (2 wire) speed sensor.  No more need for a bouncing driveshaft reluctor and sensor, and no adjustments needed.

Many engine management systems can not accept the VR signal that the OE speed sensors produces. Holley EFI systems, such as the Terminator X and HP systems can only use hall effect sensors for monitoring speed. The TPSS1 will read the stock reluctor ring inside the transmission, meaning no tear-down needed. With a built-in pull-up resistor and mating pigtail included, installation is a breeze and can be done in less than an hour. Machined in-house from billet aluminum and built with superior automotive grade circuitry, the TPSS1 can stand up to the most harsh environments and accurately read speeds in excess of 300mph.

Compatible with Holley, Fueltech, Haltech, etc... systems.

The TPSS1 will fit a variety of transmissions. Other transmissions may be able to use the sensor, other than the ones listed.

  • GM T-56

  • Tremec Magnum F

  • GM Tick Converted Magnum (We did these before the Magnum F was released)

  • Up to 2015 GM TR6060 (Later TR6060's have an OE Hall Effect sensor)

  • GM TKX

  • 2WD 4L80E

  • 1996+ 2WD 4L60E

  • GM 2wd ZF6

Please Note: Standard Tremec Magnums have a Ford designed VSS, and is slightly different dimensions. The TPSS1 will NOT work in the transmissions designed for the Ford sensors, rather you will need TPSS2.

The only drop in solution for that matter. Has worked flawlessly since install, easy to wire, and sends Hall effect goodness from my Magnum F reliably for thousands of fun miles
