When you build as many Tremec transmissions as we do, you learn to solve common issues. This one is no exception.
As Garrett Leach is highlighting in this video below, this is a common issue. The pin will get loose and fall down into the transmission.
The solution we have is to double pin these shift rails. We use the OE pin and then drive a single coil type pin or "double wall" pin into the existing pin. This make the pin fit extremely tight.
We have experimented with only using a single double wall pin. But we have found that the way we do this now works much better. I will share a picture of the pin setup in the comments for everyone to see.
