I have a 1993 240sx with a Ls1 and T56. My original remote bleeder came out of the bellhousing and bolted to the transmission. It worked but still required getting under the car. Decided to give this a try and couldn't be happier. It fits perfect and we had the clutch bled in under a minute. I'll never go back.
Anything from tick is good
All reviews everywhere say that this bleeder works great. I expect mine will also.
I do have one recommendation. Please consider adding a 90° bend to the hard tube where it exits the clutch housing. During install the braided line hits the floor pan on my C5 enough to kink the line severely.
I haven't finished the install yet and therefore have not bled the empty system. Hopefully, the kinking of the braided line will not cause it to leak when I finally get pressure in it.
Great quality part. Makes bleeding the clutch system a piece of cake.
Dont hesitate on buying this. Its worth every dollar, and then some. Saves a ton of time and headaches in my LS/T56 swapped S10.
Makes the job quick and simple, everything everyone says is true , it is a must have part, if you ever have the opportunity to install one , DO IT !!!!
Imagine not having to jack up your car and roll around on the garage floor, having to deal with brake fluid dripping all over you while trying to work the bleeder valve. Just pop the hood and go at it. If you have to pull your tranny for any reason you really ought to install one of these. Everything you've heard about how convenient this is, is true.
Could not have competed my installation without it. Excellent results!!!
Installed a couple for a few friends on thier F bodys and worked great every time so got one for my self makes bleeding the quick and easy and even did my home work and using it on a 2.2l s10 with a nv1500 no problems
Makes it where a dummy like me can even do the job!
Excellent product, made bleeding clutch very simple and easy to do. Would recommend this product to anyone who wants a positive in a usually negative experience
This bleeder did what it was supposed to do , one man bleeder on a f-body was super easy and pedal is perfect !!
Idk if it would be possible to make it to where maybe it would be easier to screw and unscrew with your hands and not have to use or worry about carrying tools with you in case you need to bleed your clutch. but other than that the speed bleeder is a great addition and love it
Install was simple and it worked as promised....I'm happy.
Be able to bleed your master cylinder on your own. No more crawling under your car. Is a must have for any lsx owner.
Like the headline said
Purchased this speed bleeder line just because. Turned out to be the best buy for any fbody clutch swap. If you are pulling your transmission out for any reason I would buy one of these I bled my clutch in a matter of 20 seconds by myself instead of 15 minutes with two or three people.
This was a really great investment considering I like to bleed the clutch fluid ever oil change. The build quality is great. I have one issue with it that I later learned is very rare but not unheard of. The copper crush washer meant to seal the connection of the bleeder to the slave cylinder/throwout bearing didn't make a good seal and leaked quite a bit. I checked the forums and found a few people that had this problem but, given how many people have installed them on F-bodies, Corvettes, and GTOs with shining reviews, I'm willing to bet it's not a common problem. I was physically sick to my stomach when I realized I had to take the transmission off because of a 25-cent washer but it had to be done. The leakage was too substantial to live with. I found a solution on a forum that worked for me: a copper crush washer with a slightly smaller inner diameter. I found some at a local industrial supply store. Now it doesn't leak a bit and I'm very happy with the convenience it provides.
This is an absolute must for any 6spd LS owner. Makes bleeding the clutch a breeze.
Only had my GTO for about 6 months, the slave cylinder started leaking fluid so I had to replace it.I read alot of forums on replacing the cylinder and everyone said you got to have this remote clutch bleeder, all I can say is I am so glad I took the advise. It work's like a dream.Would definitely recommend it.
Great product! I actually ordered the speed bleeder and a monster stage 2 for my 02 Firehawk. It arrived within 3 days of purchase. It is very straight forward and installation was simple. My only gripe was that my clutch from monster still hasn't even been shipped and it's been going on a week and a half. They never answer there phone or have yet to even return my call to at least give me a status update. Oh we'll I still love there clutches they just need to work on there customer service a little more.
Install was a breeze. Functionality was magnificent. Can't believe I waited 8 years to put one on!!
this thing is awesome! now i can flush and bleed my clutch without even lifting the car up it was the best $50 i have ever spent!
No reviews necessary for this part. It's an easily affordable part that makes life with a t56 much easier
No brainer for clutch fluid maintenance. A must for anyone who plans on keeping they're corvette for more than a few years. Works as advertised, no leaks, high quality.
this worked like a charm, I had the Clutch bleed in 10 Min. with the speed bleeder, and did it all with just one person!!!!!!!
Bought this with a new master, and slave cylinder. I didn't bench bleed before installation of the cylinders, an d this made it soooo easy. Routed the line up next to the reservoir, used an empty catch bottle, and had a buddy pump the clutch. Primed, and bled, and worked like a charm. Will make flushing the system a breeze in the future.
This is such a great product. We used this on a Corvette LS6 and Camaro T56 install on a 1970 Camaro build. With the set back there was no room to get to the factory bleeder. You pretty much had to bleed it through a hole in the bellhousing. Besides wearing brake fluid it took way too long.
With the length of the hose you could mount it next to the master.
Im going to put these into my inventory.
Thanks Tick Performance for this product.
This speed bleeder makes an otherwise difficult job one that a novice can successfully complete. Great product not only in the value it delivers and time it saves, but also in the quality of design and materials.
When I installed the new clutch and trans into my camaro and wondered how I would not get brake fluid everywhere when bleeding this clutch, then I saw the tick speed bleeder and though I'll give this a try, WOW it is absoulutly the simplest and easyest clutch bleed I've ever done. Afert getting evedrything installed I put a small container under the hose in the engine compartment and filled the resevore and literaly bleed the clutch while telling a buddy about it on the phone, and was by myself, awsome product!!
I had a clutch disc disintegrate while at the Lingenfelter Performance Nationals. When I got my Corvette home I proceeded to disassemble the driveline and take a part my Fidanza dual-disc clutch.
As we removed the bolts holding the pressure plate to the floater and flywheel, pieces of the outer clutch disc began to fall out of the assembly. The disc and the floater were ruined.
Foruntately, American Powertrain now makes quality replacement parts for this clutch and they sold me a new floater assembly, a new pressure plate, and two new Kevlar discs.
Quickly, we put the clutch assembly back together.
Any of you who know about the C5 Corvette clutch assembly know that the pressure plate is activated by a hydraulic slave cylinder. The slave cylinder is notorious for trapping air.
Fortunately, before I put the new clutch in, I ordered a Tick Performance Remote Clutch Speed Bleeder Hose assembly. I used it to replace another speed bleeder assembly hose that was only 36-inch long. A 36-inch hose does not allow you to bleed the slave cylinder from in the engine compartment. With that short 36-inch hose you must have one person under the car, one person in the car, and one person filling the clutch reservoir in the engine compartment.
Tick's hose assembly is 49-inches long and it puts the bleed screw in the engine compartment next to the clutch reservoir. It was very easy to successfully bleed the slave cylinder with just to people.
Thanks Tick for another great product.
This is probably the best $50 bucks I've ever spent!! Thanks for engineering such a great piece.
it looks great, can't wait to use it.
Speed bleeder works great at initial installation of clutch slave cylinder and if your have to rebleed the cylinder it makes this job a breeze.
No more getting underneath the car to blade the clutch system...excellent product! will not let air back into the system once the pedal is released. Bleeding my clutch is now a five minute job.
Nicely engineered. Works well. Excellent value
Saved me hours and a huge headache bleeding the clutch the traditional old-fashioned way. one of the single best product's I've purchased for this car!
